A Night of Anything Goes
Featured in performing arts centers around the world, A Night of Anything Goes takes jazz music to a whole new beautiful level. The 15- to 18-piece band features a Broadway vocalist and direction and narration by vocalist Tom Lellis. Currently, A Night of Anything Goes is featuring the music of Cole Porter, a composer best known for his contributions to the musical “Kiss Me Kate.” Popular songs featured by the jazz band include “I’ve Got You Under My Skin,” “In the Still of the Night,” “I Get a Kick Out of You” and “What is This Thing Called Love.”
For jazz music with soul, check out Jazzy Blu. This seven-piece band blends the melodic sounds of jazz, funk, R&B, neo-soul, blues, rock and alternative music into a world-class sound. The unified energy of the band allows it to move from genre to genre seamlessly much to the delight of the audience. Jazzy Blu has shared the stage with some of music’s greatest artists including Boyz II Men, Brian McKnight, the Ojays and Mary J. Blige. Potomac Jazz Project
For classic jazz, the Potomac Jazz Project is your kind of band. Its jazz music repertoire include a variety of styles including swing and bop in the style of many of jazz’s greatest artists like Miles Davis, Duke Ellington and Frank Sinatra. Averaging 150 gigs a year, the Potomac Jazz Project has been featured in many popular DC destinations including the Kennedy Center, the Smithsonian and the Corcoran Gallery of Art. The completely customizable five-piece band also performs for private events including weddings and intimate dinners.
Since 2010, internationally recognized Veronneau has lit up the jazz world with its love of powerful melodies, heartfelt interpretations of jazz music and intimate shows. The four-piece band is led by Lynn Veronneau, a classically trained singer who has performed throughout the United States and around the world. The band performs a delicious blend of sounds including jazz, samba, bossa-nova and swing. Its debut album, “Joie de Vivre – Joy of Living,” hit the Jazzweek World Music charts at number nine and received extensive radio play. In 2014, the band was featured in the documentary “Bossa Nova – The Music Which Charmed the World.”
Bachelor Boys Band
