On Cinco de Mayo, El Centro D.F. offers a buffet of authentic Mexican comfort fare from noon until 11:00 p.m. The cost is $15 at the door and you can indulge in a variety of dishes including roasted corn, vegetable empanadas, and black bean and garbanzo bean salad. For the perfect beverage pairing, guests can enjoy $5 featured libations including the El Centro margarita and a variety of Mexican beers.

Mio Restaurants is inviting DC locals to come and experience food and drinks which feature the best of Puerto Rican flavors with influences from Latin metropolises such as Lima, Ciudad de México, La Havana, and San Juan.  From Monday, May 4 through Wednesday, May 6, Executive Chef Roberto Hernandez will offer a variety of appetizer and entrée specials. These include Mexican rice and corn with habanero peppers, corn, rice, chipotle mayo, and queso fresco, freshly made guacamole served with housemade tortillas. Also featured is Mexican soup with avocado, cheese, and a poached egg, and a spicy salsa made with ghost peppers, which will be served with crunchy tortilla chips. Cocktails, wine and draft beer will also be available to help you wash down these delicious dishes.

It may not be a Mexican bar or restaurant, but Beacon Bar & Grill knows how to celebrate in style. Head over at 4:00 p.m. to enjoy $3 Corona, $4 margaritas, and $6 tequila shots at the bar. There will also be a decadent Mexican buffet, complete with tacos, guacamole, rice, corn, flautas, and more. The buffet is $9.95 a person.

Masa 14, renowned for its lively 74-seat bar, will showcase Mexico’s favorite spirit, which pairs well with the restaurant’s Latin-Asian fare. Featured $5 Mexican beer, house red and white wines will be available in Masa 14’s bar/lounge and rooftop deck, along three flavors of margaritas from noon to close on Cinco de Mayo. To celebrate this festive day, guests can enjoy a bountiful Latin/Asian buffet along with passed hors d’oeuvres showcasing Masa 14’s popular dishes. The cost is $20 at the door. Dishes include Tofu Tacos with peppers and onions, sweet plantains with cremaand vegetable spring rolls with chipotle hoisin sauce. Additionally, Masa 14 will have DJs spinning throughout the restaurant on Tuesday, May 5 from 5:00 p.m. to close.

This downtown hotspot will offer complimentary chips and salsa and passed hor d’oeuvres for guests who stop by the bar and restaurant from 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 5.  Drink specials will also be available and include $5 classic margaritas, strawberry margaritas, and mango margaritas as well as Corona and Tecate beers and house red and white wine. To liven up the festivities, there will be a DJ  from 7:00 p.m. to close.
