WASHINGTON — Terrelle Pryor was caught on video after the Redskins lost to the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday night cursing out a fan and giving the middle finger.
The video, which obviously contains explicit material, can be found here.
Pryor, who had three catches for 70 yards and his first touchdown as a member of the Redskins, has had a trying first month or so in Washington. He has already faced considerable criticism from fans who desperately miss the likes of Pierre Garcon and DeSean Jackson, and this latest incident will certainly do nothing to endear him to that crowd.
However, Pryor posted the following message on his Instagram after the incident, per 106.7 The Fan Redskins beat reporter Craig Hoffman (again, graphic language follows):
Assuming Pryor’s story is accurate — and there is no reason that I have come across thus far to believe it is not so — what the fan(s) did is completely unacceptable. Would you like to have seen a more tempered response from the 28-year-old receiver? Sure. But can you blame him for letting his emotions get to him when racist jeers are being hurled at him all night? I don’t think so.
