Nats Racing Presidents Hang Out with Chris Christie

WASHINGTON — After suspending his campaign for president of the United States, former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie is unlikely to become the 45th president. He can, however, hang out with caricatures of the first, third, 16th, 26th, 27th and 30th presidents.

Such was the case on Sunday, as the politician attended the Navy vs. Princeton baseball game for a race simulation as part of the Washington Nationals’ #RaceToOpeningDay.

The premise of the promotion is that the racing Presidents are conducting workouts around the region before Opening Day on April 7. For reasons not immediately apparent, Christie was in attendance as well:

Proximity to presidents won’t bring Chris Christie any closer to the White House, but maybe he can make a cameo in a race later this summer.
