WASHINGTON — Anybody who lives in the D.C. area knows the city’s sports fans care more about the Redskins than they do about the Wizards, Capitals, Nationals, Mystics or D.C. United — possibly more than the other five combined, really.

Dan Steinberg of The Washington Post’s D.C. Sports Bog mourned this reality Wednesday in a Facebook post, wondering how the paper is going to replace Clinton Yates, who is leaving to join ESPN’s The Undefeated.

Yes, down at the bottom, that is Ted Leonsis, owner of the Capitals and Wizards.

What a guy. Worth roughly a billion dollars, and he’s still offering to cover a pair of sports teams.
