WASHINGTON — A major fire broke out at the Annapolis Yacht Club on Saturday.

The Annapolis Fire Department was dispatched to a 3-alarm fire around 2:16 p.m. According to the Annapolis Fire Marshal’s Office, 34 pieces of fire equipment and 90 firefighters are on the scene.

One firefighter suffered a minor injury and was transported to the hospital. There are no other injuries reported.

The City of Annapolis’ Office of Emergency Management said on Saturday evening that the fire had been extinguished.

Saturday evening’s “Parade of Lights” was canceled because of the fire.

Governor Larry Hogan will join Mayor Mike Pantelides to survey damage at the Annapolis Yacht Club on Sunday.
