WASHINGTON — The new “Capital City” Megabus was unveiled by D.C. Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton at Union Station on Thursday.
Earlier this year, Megabus held a “Name the Bus” campaign in 33 states and the District. Customers voted for the moniker that best represented each place and “Capital City” was the winning name for D.C.
“By naming a bus ‘Capital City,’ megabus.com has recognized the District of Columbia, its residents, and our civic franchise as a major national and international tourist destination,” Norton said in a news release. “Megabus.com’s discount bus service has encouraged thousands of people from across the nation to visit D.C., and has allowed our residents to journey to a wide variety of cities.”
