WASHINGTON — Police are searching for the suspect involved in a rape and abduction in Alexandria last week.

Alexandria Police say a 23-year-old woman let a man she met through the Internet into her hotel room in the 2700 block of Eisenhower Avenue shortly after midnight on Nov. 16.

The man brandished a firearm and raped her, police say. She was then forced to leave Alexandria with the suspect.

Detectives say they are investigating the possibility that the woman was also assaulted in another jurisdiction.

The suspect is described as a 6-foot to 6-foot-1 black male weighing between 180 to 220 pounds.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact police at (703) 746-6289.
