WASHINGTON — District of Columbia Mayor Muriel Bowser is finishing up a visit to China.

The mayor will wrap up the visit on Saturday. She has been joined on the trip by former mayor Anthony Williams, Councilmember Jack Evans and the city’s chief financial officer, Jeffrey DeWitt, along with representatives from the private and non-profit sectors.

The purpose of the visit has been promoting the city as a tourist destination and attracting additional foreign investment in the city. The visit’s itinerary included stops in Beijing and Shanghai.
