WASHINGTON — Prince George’s County Police are canvassing a Springdale neighborhood in hopes of identifying a suspect in the deadly shooting of a 59-year-old man.
Around 1 p.m. Tuesday, officers responded to the 3700 block of Ladova Way for the report of a crash involving a single car. Upon arrival, they found the car and learned that the driver, Bernard Parker, had already been taken to the hospital.
Investigators determined Parker had been shot inside of his car prior to the crash. Police say he died of his injuries just after 10 p.m.
Detectives are working to identify the suspect(s) and a motive in this case. They will be passing out crime solvers flyers (shown below) in the area of the crash Wednesday night.
