WASHINGTON — Two families, including a family of seven, are displaced after a two-alarm fire at a townhouse in Gaithersburg overnight Sunday.
Montgomery County Fire spokesperson Pete Piringer tweeted that no one was injured in the fire at 914 Bayridge Terrace. Firefighters arrived to the scene around 1:20 a.m.
Piringer says an outside light fixture caused the fire.
It’s estimated there are more than $225,000 in damages to the home.
The Red Cross is assisting the displaced families, Piringer says.
