WASHINGTON –Two days after a woman was found dead with trauma to her body inside her home in Upper Marlboro, a suspect has been charged with her murder.

Amanda Jones, 56, ran a daycare inside her home on the 900 block of Andean Goose Way.

Around 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, police found her inside the house suffering from some kind of trauma. She was pronounced dead on scene.

Prince George’s County Police have not elaborated on how she was killed, but they have charged 56-year-old Mitchell Jerome Cole of White Plains in the murder.

Investigators say they had previously been in a relationship. Cole is being held without bond.
