OXON HILL, Md. — A man stabbed his girlfriend’s two teenage sons during an argument, killing one of them, according to Prince George’s County Police.
Officers were called to an apartment on Audrey Lane in Oxon Hill on Monday morning and found the two teens had been wounded. The brothers were taken to a hospital, where police say 14-year-old Keyshaun Mason died. His 18-year-old brother was treated and released.
Police say 48-year-old Sean Crawford, the live-in boyfriend of the teens’ mother, was arrested at the scene and detectives believe the stabbings stemmed from an argument.
Charging documents say the boys broke into a bedroom where Crawford was barricaded with their mother when Crawford stabbed them with a kitchen knife. Mason was stabbed in the chest and his brother was stabbed in the shoulder.
Crawford is being charged with second-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder and assault. He’s being held without bail.
Fire department spokesman Mark Brady says a third teen was at the apartment, but she was not taken to a hospital.
