WASHINGTON — Ocean City officials are trying to get the city back to normal after Hurricane Joaquin blew by the coast last week.

Officials say the damage from the storm was minimal, but Ocean City Public Works employees will still be working through the next two weeks to restore areas of the town.

Residents and visitors are urged to avoid the boardwalk, beach and Inlet Lot to allow Public Works employees to easily clear those areas.

Significant amounts of sand found its way onto the boardwalk during the storm.
