WASHINGTON — Five people have been taken to the hospital in serious condition Friday afternoon after apparently overdosing on synthetic marijuana, authorities say.
D.C. firefighters responded to a report of a man down at the intersection of 8th Street and Pennsylvania Ave. in Southeast.
Fire and rescue workers examined 10 people and took five to the hospital.
D.C. fire officials say it appears they overdosed on K2, a brand of synthetic marijuana.
This is a developing story.
