ANNAPOLIS, Md. — The Annapolis 9/11 Heroes Run is scheduled for this weekend to mark the 14th anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks.
The Travis Manion Foundation is hosting a 5K race and a 1 mile run on Sunday.
It’s one of more than 50 races across the nation and abroad that are taking place this weekend.
The series of runs was inspired by Marine 1st Lt. Travis Manion, who was killed in combat in Iraq in April 2007.
The foundation says more than 30,000 people participated in runs around the world last year.
