WASHINGTON — In 1492, Columbus sailed the ocean blue. He had three ships and … a hornet nest in a very unfortunate spot?
A large hornet nest has been spotted on the crotch area of the Christopher Columbus statue in Druid Hill Park in Baltimore.
The photos above were taken by passerby Amy Tarleton Wednesday afternoon.
Reddit also picked up the photos.

WNEW has put out a call to Baltimore’s Department of Recreation and Parks, but there is no word yet on if or when the nest will be removed.
