WASHINGTON — Prince George’s County detectives canvass an Oxon Hill neighborhood in hopes of identifying a suspect in the deadly shooting of a 37-year-old man.

Officers responded to the 700 block of Maury Avenue around 8 p.m. Monday for the report of a shooting. When they arrived, they found Hudson Bhagwat suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Preliminarily, police do not believe this was a random act.

Detectives are working to identify a motive and a suspect(s) in this shooting.

Detectives passed out Crime Solvers flyers Tuesday night seeking information in this investigation.

A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information that leads to an arrest and indictment in this case.
