WASHINGTON — A woman is dead after being hit by a car while changing her tire near the corner of Suitland Parkway and Firth Sterling Avenue, according to D.C. police.
The woman has been identified as 32-year-old Tomika Early of Suitland, Md.
Investigators say around 10:15 p.m. Tuesday the driver, identified as 52-year-old Robert Paris of southeast D.C., hit Early with his pick-up truck while she was standing beside her car on the side of the road.
Early suffered massive body trauma and succumbed to her injuries soon after the crash.
