WASHINGTON — A Bladensburg man has been arrested in connection with a deadly stabbing early Monday morning.

Around 2 a.m., officers were called to the 4700 block of Huron Avenue in Suitland for a stabbing. When they arrived, they found a man outside suffering from a stab wound. He died a short time later at a hospital.

Through their investigation, officers learned details about the suspect, spotted him walking nearby and took him into custody. He has been identified as 36-year-old Nelson Howard Ford. Police say he is facing a charge of first-degree murder.

The victim’s identity was not immediately known. Detectives do not believe this was a random act.
