(CBS DC) – Celebrities are sounding off everywhere after Donald Trump gave his campaign speech and made remarks against Mexican immigrants. These comments led to NBC not wanting to work with him and other backlashes to his brand.

In a recent People interview, Melissa Rivers explained who she stands behind and said, “Right now, I’m all about Hillary [Clinton]. And I don’t think anybody could get me off that track.” When asked about the recent Donald Trump controversy Rivers said, “He is never anyone to be counted out nor taken lightly. He’s Donald Trump for a reason,”  and added, “He’s like a cat. He always lands on his feet.”

Actress and activist Eva Longoria even spoke about Trump at the National Association of Latino Independent Producers Media Summit. It was there she answered questions about him even though she didn’t want to discuss the topic, according to E!

When asked about how she felt regarding his statement she said, “What I don’t think he understands and what people don’t understand is words create emotional poison… That’s what they do, they create emotional poison.”

Longoria believes Trump had to expect backlash after expressing his opinions on Mexican immigrants.
