WASHINGTON — As a heat wave continues in the D.C.-Baltimore region, cooling centers around the area are opening to help keep residents and the homeless.

Temperatures will hit the high 90s Monday with a heat index above 105 degrees.

Whether you are without power or desperately in need of a place to cool off, there is likely a cooling center near you.

D.C.’s General Weekday Cooling Centers (Open 12 p.m. – 6 p.m.)
