WASHINGTON – A Flash Flood Watch has been issued for most of the region as remnants of Tropical Storm Bill are expected to move through the area.

Rain and thunderstorms are expected late Saturday afternoon, causing heavy downpours and flash flooding. One to three inches of rain are possible.

The watch – which is in effect from 8 p.m. Saturday to 8 a.m. Sunday – includes the following areas:

    Washington, D.C.


  • Anne Arundel County
  • Baltimore
  • Frederick
  • Howard County
  • Montgomery County
  • Prince George’s County
  • Virginia

  • Alexandria
  • Arlington
  • Fairfax
  • Falls Church
  • Loudoun County
  • Manassas
  • Prince William County

Storms are expected to move out of the area early Sunday morning.
