WASHINGTON (CBSDC) – A Labor Department employee earning a six-figure salary reportedly admitted to downloading porn every day for months while on the job.

It took the government 15 weeks to fire the man.

The Daily Mail reports the employee was busted after a co-worker filed a formal complaint.

An investigation by the Office of the Inspector General revealed the employee “visited pornographic sites for several hours a day” during the first eight months of 2014.

The Labor Department report obtained by the mail was heavily redacted to protect the identity of the employee.

But the Inspector General’s report does refer to a “Grade 14 employee.’

According to the federal government’s own published pay scale, the employee would likely have made between $107,325 and $139,523, depending on his responsibilities and seniority. That figure includes a 25% cost of living boost for Washington D.C.

In an interview with the IG in October 2014, the man claimed to be “addicted to porn.” He told investigators it all started when he did an image search for 80s TV star Alyssa Milano on his government-issued computer.

The report states that the employee “downloaded a voluminous amount of adult pornographic movies and images.”

The man also admitted he had been fired from another job for ‘accessing sites with women wearing little clothing,’ according to the report.

He added that he used Bing because it allowed him to surf porn sites.
