WASHINGTON (CBSDC) — President Barack Obama had another name flub during a press conference.
In a press conference to announce that there will be no troop drawdown in Afghanistan this year, Obama referred to Afghan President Ashraf Ghani as “President Karzai” while he was standing right next to him.
Twitter users immediately took notice of the blunder.
Youch. Obama muddles the Afghan president standing next to him, calling Ghani Karzai.

Obama refers to "President Karzai" rather than President Ghanni, his successor. Karzai ceased being Afghan President in September last year.

During his December end-of-year press conference, Obama referred to James Franco as “James Flacco” while talking about Sony originally deciding to pull “The Interview” from theaters over a hacking scandal at the hands of North Korea.
“I think it says something interesting about North Korea that they decided to have the state mount an all-out assault on a movie studio because of a satirical movie starring Seth Rogen and James Flacco. I love Seth and I love James, but the notion that that was a threat to them I think gives you some sense of the kind of regime we’re talking about here,” Obama said at the time.
Ghani was elected president of Afghanistan last year, replacing Hamid Karzai.
The United States will keep 9,800 troops through the end of this year in Afghanistan.
