WASHINGTON — Television producer Norman Lear is joining advocates in Washington to show support for arts funding.
Lear is scheduled to deliver the Nancy Hanks Lecture on Arts and Public Policy on Monday evening for the group Americans for the Arts. Lear will speak about the social impact of art. He will be introduced by hip-hop artist Common and by the Atlanta Symphony Youth Orchestra.
Lear is the creator of sitcoms including “All in the Family,” ”Good Times,” ”The Jeffersons” and other shows.
