WASHINGTON (CBSDC) — Days after ESPN’s John Clayton reported the Redskins will select Marcus Mariota with the fifth overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, if available, longtime Philadelphia radio and television personality Howard Eskin is reporting the same.
“The Redskins will take him at five,” said Clayton, a longtime Seattle-based NFL reporter, on ESPN radio Tuesday evening.
Friday afternoon, Eskin reported on Twitter: “In the last 24 hours I spoke with 3 NFL sources and I was told by everyone that Redskins will take Marcus Mariota if he gets to 5.”
Full disclosure: In Feb. 2012, Eskin reported Peyton Manning, then a free agent, would “very likely” sign with the Redskins. Manning would later sign with the Denver Broncos.
Told by 2 people close to Mannings that Peyton very likely to be a Redskin despite smokescreen being put of their by Skins to seek other QBs—

Further disclosure: In Aug. 2013, Eskin reported Dr. James Andrews had recommended the Redskins not play Robert Griffin, who was coming off offseason ACL surgery at the time, until after their Week 5 bye. The report was widely discredited by local media.
Sources tell me RG3's dr, James Andrews, has recommended to #redskins that Griffin not play until after bye wk. Wash bye is week 5.—
