BALTIMORE — A new wildlife webcam will give viewers a chance to watch nesting peregrine falcons on a downtown Baltimore skyscraper.

The Chesapeake Conservancy said in an email on Tuesday that its webcam on the 33rd-floor ledge of the Transamerica building has gone online.

The webcam will show the activities of peregrine falcons, which have nested on urban buildings for decades. Peregrine falcons are believed to be the fastest birds in the world, traveling up to 200 mph during hunts.

The falcon cam can be viewed at ChesapeakeConservancy.org.
