CLINTON, Md. — Prince George’s County Police have charged a 16-year-old boy with attempted murder after they say he shot two fellow classmates following an argument.
Police say the teen was playing video games at his Clinton home with two friends, ages 16 and 17, on Sunday when they got into a fight.
That’s when police say the teen shot his friends, critically injuring one of them. He then shot himself.
The teen is being charged as an adult with attempted first-degree murder, two counts of attempted second-degree murder, and assault.
All three teens attend Frederick Douglass High School in Upper Marlboro. All remain hospitalized.
Police say the teen’s mother legally owned the gun that was used in the shooting.
