WASHINGTON (CBS DC) – The measles outbreak linked to Disneyland keeps spreading.

There are now 75 confirmed cases of measles in six states. 54 of those cases have been positively traced back to the Southern California theme parks.

Most of those infected were not vaccinated against measles, leading to an avalanche of attention focused on anti-vaxxers, parents who believe vaccines are more harmful to their children than beneficial.

National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases director Dr. Anthony Fauci joins “CBS This Morning” to discuss the severity of the outbreak.

Already California state officials have ordered children who have not been vaccinated for measles stay away from Disneyland and other large open areas that are popular with children.
