CAPITOL HEIGHTS, Md. (WNEW/AP) — A man was found shot dead inside a taxi in Prince George’s County early Wednesday morning.

Police say they were called to the 800 block of Balsamtree Drive around 1 a.m. for the report of a suspicious car in the roadway. When they arrived, they found a taxicab driver inside his cab suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

Silver Cab Company, which owns the taxi involved, says the man found dead was one of its drivers. The man’s identity has not been released.

Detectives are working to identify the suspect(s) and motive in this case.

No arrests have been made.
