BALTIMORE (WNEW) — Baltimore’s Virtual Supermarket Program is expanding to help get healthy food to those living in food desert communities.

The program allows residents to order groceries online and pick them up at set locations with no registration or delivery fees.

Now Virtual Supermarket is coming to those at Perkins Homes and Wayland Village.

“I think this is lovely. This is so nice,” Robin, a resident of Perkins House said after picking up her groceries she ordered online the previous day.

Residents of Perkins House can order online at POWER House on Mondays for pickup the next day.

People in Wayland Village can order every Wednesday with delivery the next day.

Delivery: Wednesdays 1pm-2pm

Cherry Hill Library

Ordering: Tuesdays 1:30pm-3:30pm
Delivery: Wednesdays 2pm-3pm

Ordering: Tuesdays 9:30am-11:30am
Delivery: Wednesdays 10:00am-11:00am

The POWER House at Perkins Homes
316 South Caroline Street, Baltimore, MD 21231
Ordering: Mondays 12:30pm-2:30pm
Delivery: Tuesdays 12:00pm-1:00pm

The program is run by the Baltimore City Health Department’s Baltimarket program in partnership with ShopRite.
