LANHAM, Md. (WNEW) — The 30-day warning period for traffic violations ends at midnight on Dec. 2 for eight new D.C. speed cameras.

D.C. Police will begin issuing actual traffic tickets to drivers caught on camera violating traffic laws at the new automated traffic enforcement (ATE) camera locations in the city.

The new locations were activated a month ago.

With the grace period ending, notices of violations and fines will be mailed to the address of the registered owner of the vehicle.

The cameras are located at:

  • 600 block of Maryland Avenue, NE
  • Fessenden Street e/b @ 44th Street, NW
  • 3600 block of Park Place, NW
  • North Capitol, NE at Chillum
  • 2600 block Lincoln Road, NE
  • 3100 block of 4th Street, NE
  • 3100 block of 4th Street, NE
  • 4000 block 12th Street, NE
