LANHAM, Md. (WNEW) — An individual at a Prince George’s County public school is diagnosed with tuberculosis, school officials say.
Below is a statement from Lynn McCawley, a spokesperson for Prince George’s County Public Schools:
“An individual at Potomac High School was recently diagnosed with tuberculosis, or TB. To ensure the health and safety of students and staff, Prince George’s County Public School health services staff are working closely with Prince George’s County Health Department staff to conduct contact tracing that identifies those who may have had close contact with the individual. At this point, no additional cases of tuberculosis infection have been identified through contact tracing.”
This is a developing story.
