WASHINGTON (CBS DC) – Republican Scott Walker is projected to serve a second term as the governor of Wisconsin.

He defeated Democrat Mary Burke, the daughter of Richard Burke, who founded the Trek bicycle company.

Walker’s re-election was important to the GOP, as he is considered to be a possible presidential candidate in 2016.
