WASHINGTON (WNEW) — The Washington Wizards took a break from practice to help local kids bag food at the Capital Area Food Bank.
The people having the most fun were at the table with Wizards small forward Martell Webster and Lt. Commander Jonathan Schaft with the Coast Guard.
“It’s snowing bags there,” Webster said. “We just want to put smiles on kids faces and for these kids to be here helping us like this it just shows them how valuable time is.”
They danced and joked as they worked, separating plastic bags and filling them up with food.
