LANHAM, Md. (WNEW) — Organizers of the Baltimore marathon are getting very specific about what words of encouragement spectators should cheer on the sidelines.

A list including eight cheers are okay in their book, but some others are not. Those who plan on watching the 14th Annual Baltimore Running Festival on Saturday are asked to use these words of encouragement:

– “Way to Run”
– “Awesome”
– “Looking Strong”
– “Looking Good”
– “Enjoy Baltimore”
– “You Can Do It”
– “You’re Flying”
– “Keep it Up”

Organizers ask that phrases like “Almost there” and “Not far to go,” are not yelled at runners unless you are near the finish line is at M&T Bank Stadium.
