LANDOVER, Md. (WNEW) — Nearly 60,000 Jehovah’s Witnesses gathered at FedEx Field this weekend for a convention of faith and fellowship.

They came from multiple continents dressed in traditional garb to be here to share their faith and attend the international prayer service.

Jeff Wilson, one of the organizers who worked for the last two years to make this happen, says it intensified over the last nine months to get all of the details in place.

“It’s just a joy to see them come and be able to be comfortable and enjoy the program and not be concerned about the logistics,” Wilson says. “If there’s unity there’s peace…if there’s peace, then everyone has a good time.”
