LANHAM, Md. (WNEW) — The Ben and Jerry’s truck is handing out free ice cream in the nation’s capital for a second day, but the mayor of Baltimore wants it to make the drive up I-95.
Baltimore mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake sent a message to the truck on Twitter Wednesday morning in hopes of luring the creamy deliciousness to Charm City.
“Bring @BenJerrysTruck to #BaltimoreCity!” she tweeted.

The Ben and Jerry’s ice cream giveaway in Washington is part of the company’s Core Tour to promote a new line of flavors.
The truck has been encouraging ice cream lovers to tweet their requests for where they’d like it to come hand out freebies.
There is no word yet as to whether Ben and Jerry’s will honor Rawlings-Blake’s request for a Baltimore stop.
