OXON HILL, Md. (CBSDC/AP) — Police were able to quickly arrest the person believed to be responsible for a fatal shooting Monday night in Oxon Hill.

Cinaway Lateef Morson, 32, of Washington was found suffering from gunshot wounds in Sweet Soul Café and Lounge in the 800 block of Southern Avenue in Oxon Hill about 5:50 p.m. Monday. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The lounge’s owner, Gary Antonio Jones, 35, of Fort Washington has been arrested and charged with second-degree murder, according to authorities.

Detectives with the Prince George’s County Police Department believe an argument between Morson and Jones spawned the fatal shooting. No customers were inside at the time of the shooting.

Police say they have recovered the gun used in the crime.
