JERUSALEM (CBSDC) — President Obama was heckled during his speech Thursday at the Jerusalem International Convention Center.

Obama was heckled after saying, “I believe your future is bound to ours.”

The unidentified person yelled at the president for several seconds before getting shouted down by the rest of the audience.

Obama played off the heckler.

“This is part of the lively debate that we talked about. This is good,” Obama said.

The president then joked that they planted the heckler in the audience.

“I have to say we actually arranged for that because it made me feel at home,” Obama said. “I wouldn’t feel comfortable if I didn’t have at least one heckler.”

The president spoke before a mostly young crowd about the issues facing Israel, including a two-state solution with Palestine and the Iranian threat.

Earlier Thursday, the president visited with Palestinian Authority leader Mahmoud Abbas in the West Bank.
