WASHINGTON (CBSDC) – A wintry mix headed toward the D.C. area could make the Tuesday morning commute difficult.

Clouds are expected to move into the D.C. area Monday night, carrying some winter precipitation, says 9News Now meteorologist Olga Breese.

Rainfall is expected by 3 a.m. Tuesday, but the brunt of the storm will likely hit north and west of the region.

No more than an inch of slushy snow is expected.
