The Washington Capitals’ newly acquired right-winger Joel Ward joins the The LaVar Arrington Show to talk about what he expects to bring to Caps’ next season.

Ward became a free agent after the 2010-11 season and signed a four-year contract worth $12 million with the Washington Capitals on July 1, 2011. He spent the last three seasons with the Nashville Predators.

Putting his one the line to protect the goal has never been a problem for Ward, and he intends on bringing that fearless style of play to Washington, D.C.

“I definitely don’t mind taking one to block a shot to help the team. I’m coming here to do what ever it takes to help the team win.”
