Don’t have time for a full sit down meal but prefer to avoid greasy fast-food, these quick but quality meals will leave you satisfied.

Ray’s Hellburger (Burgers)
1725 Wilson Blvd
Arlington, VA 22209
(703) 841-0001

Their gourmet burgers are big, juicy, and ready in 10 minutes. There is a decently sized seating area, and they will bring your food out to you. 10 oz patties are aged and cooked to your liking. Very good food for under $10 a person. Plus, they serve beer!

BGR The Burger Joint (Burgers)
129 Lee Highway
Arlington, VA 22201

In addition to their classic burgers, BGR The Burger Joint also serves turkey burgers and veggie burgers. They offer a variety of specialty burgers, like the Ahi Tuna roll sandwich and lobster rolls. And you’ve got to try their fries and onion rings…all together for under $10!

The Italian Store (Pizza, Sandwiches)
3123 Lee Hwy
Arlington, Virginia 22201-4207
Phone: (703) 528-6266

Hands down the best pizza on the Virginia side of the river. Order by slice or by full pie, one can also enjoy delicious subs here as well. The line can get pretty long during peak lunch hours, but service is great and food comes out quickly. Tip: call in advance when ordering full pies.

Five Guys (Burgers)
300 Wilson Blvd
Arlington, VA 22201-5408
(703) 666-8905

The famous five guys serve some of the best burgers around. Made to order in plain view of the customer, one can build their own burger, choosing from numerous toppings. Hot dogs are available as well, and burgers come in either 1 or 2 patty sizes with bacon available upon request. This is a local chain so they are not limited to Arlington, and is a must try. Very cheap, good food.

Balduccis (Gourmet sandwiches, pizza)
100 Wilson Boulevard,
Arlington, VA 22209
(703) 549-6611

Here, you can find almost any prepared food you might be looking for. While their sandwiches are the main attraction (make sure to try the Santa Fe chicken), the pizza is great as well and one will find a buffet of prepared options (including pasta, chicken wings…) that varies daily. Limited seating as this is more of a market, but great food and definitely worth a try if one is in a hurry.
