Tyson’s Galleria

2001 International Drive
Mclean, VA 22102

Far and away the best place to buy things. This should give you some indication as to what other places will appear on this list. It’s anchored by Neiman’s and Saks so you really can’t do much better. Plus Tyson’s II is across the street and has less swankier places like Nordstrom and Banana Republic. The fact that there’s a Ritz Carlon and The Palm around the corner only raise it’s stock. Beware of construction at 495 and Chain Bridge Rd, though. But it’s absolutely worth it.

The Shops At Georgetown Park

3222 M St NW
Washington, DC 20007

It’s not so much the actual mall that makes this worth it as are the autonomous stores that line Wisconsin Avenue and it’s offshoots. But all are for the credit card charging and window shopping inclined. Downside: Parking’s a nightmare. The fact that it’s Georgetown makes it #2 on the list.

Chevy Chase Pavilion

5335 Wisconsin Ave NW
Washington DC 20015

Again, it’s not the indoor mall (though it does boast a Neiman’s) so much as the walking up-and-down of Wisconsin Ave. The neighborhood has a great feel to it and has brand new ridiculously high-end stores like Jimmy Choo, Louis Vuitton, Christain Dior and Tiffany. This is the longest row of Rodeo Dr. type places you’ll find in one block in the area.

Fashion Centre at Pentagon City

1100 S Hayes St
Arlington, VA 22202

This is great shopping for frequent Metro-riders as they couldn’t have made that experience any easier. Pentagon City has your basics like Nordstrom etc so it’s far less intimidating than Tyson’s. The Ritz Carlton in it isn’t too shabby, either. What really compliments this area are the new shops the’ve set up outside the actual mall.

Reston Town Center

11900 Market St
Reston, VA 20190

Reston Town Center is great for the entire family, all year round! Each winter, Reston Town Center takes the center pavilion and turns into one of the best outdoor skating rinks in the DC area. Year round Reston Town Center will host a variety of art shows and family friendly exhibits. Plus, it offers a great selection of retail shops and delicious restaurants (from the quick bite to the formal dinner!) to satisfy any craving.
