Techno, electronica and trance devotees in the District flock to U Street Music Hall for its amazing DJ s and hot undergrounds sounds. The atmosphere is decidedly not stuffy; people are here to dance to great music, not to see and be seen. The drinks are good and affordable, and the service is excellent. It’s not the biggest club in town, with only a single main dance/ performance/bar area. It is, however, the most unpretentious club in town. There’s no dress code and no velvet rope, just a whole lot of fun dancing the night away at U Street. Hours: Sunday through Thursday, 10 p.m. to 2 a.m.; Friday and Saturday, 10 p.m. to 3 a.m.
