“DC’s Only Urban Comedy Club” has this listed on their web site as being every Thursday at 9 p.m., with a rotating host. $5 admission for guys, and women get in free. There’s no indication on their site how to sign up for the open mic, but you can always try to e-mail for more information.

The Baltimore Comedy Factory is another staple within the DMV. Patrons can sign up to be on the email list and receive tickets in the mail to attend shows for free. There is a 2 drink minimum purchase for all shows, but the beverages do not have to be alcoholic. Many big names have graced the stage at the Factory. Thursday night show at 8:00 PM; Friday night shows at 7:30 PM, 9:30 PM, 11:30 PM; Saturday night shows at 7PM, 9PM and 11PM

Awesome Thursdays at RFD is the best room in the city — hands down. Brad and Ralph give an opportunity to every comic regardless of race, religion, sexual orientation or background. I’ve been doing stand up for the past 5 years and I have never seen anything like the show they produce each week and best of all its FREE!

I’ve been to several of the Awesome Thursdays at RFD and the shows are just what they advertise – AWESOME! These guys are funny and creative and bring in the best talent around. Definitely a good time.
They also offer Saturday Night Headliner shows once a month – slight cover charge, but the lineup is great and definitely worth it.
