Capital Pride is a 12-day event focused on celebrating equality, unity and members of the LGBT community. This year, the festivities which kicked off yesterday runs through June 10, and in honor of Capital Pride, many local restaurants, bars and nightclubs will be featuring special food and drink discounts, parties and events for area residents and visitors alike. Cobalt is recognized as D.C.’s premier gay lounge and nightspot, so it’s sure to be a great place to party after a long day at the Capital Pride festivities. Every night is a party at Town, D.C.’s largest gay nightclub. The two-story establishment features multiple party rooms, a plush lounge area, state-of-the-art video and lighting equipment and more. Catch a cabaret-style drag show every Friday and Saturday night for a unique way to close out the day’s Capital Pride festivities. Town is also known to host internationally renowned DJs and other musical superstars. Past special guests have included celebrities such as Raja, the winner of RuPaul’s Drag Race show. Town Danceboutique guests must be 21 and older on Saturday nights, so be sure to bring your I.D. if you’re planning on partying here.
