810 7th St NW
Washington, DC 20001

RFD is home to one of the best beer selections in DC – featuring over 30 brands on tap, and over 300 brands from around the world by the bottle. But RFD isn’t just known for it’s eclectic taste in beer, it’s also one of the best places in DC to grab a burger or any kind of post game eats (since it’s located across the street from the Verizon Center).

Five Guys Burgers & Fries

808 H St NW
Washington, DC 20001

Yes, yes, Five Guys Burgers & Fries is now a nationally recognized name. However, it started as a local burger joint right here in Arlington, VA! Five Guys has over 250,000 possible ways for you to order your burger, and all are made fresh while you wait. Nut allergies beware: Five Guys uses only peanut oil! But if you’re looking for a traditional, American classic, you MUST visit one of the local Five Guys locations. There’s even one across from the Verizon Center, so it’s the perfect place to grab a bit before or after the games!

Good Stuff Eatery

303 Pennsylvania Ave SE
Washington DC 20003

Good Stuff Eatery offers amazing burgers, even for those with not so traditional tastes!! This place prides itself on freshness – meaning handmade burgers, hand cut fries, and even hand spun ice cream. It’s more than just a great burger place, it’s an overall experience. Check out their menu online now!

Ray’s Hell-Burger

1725 Wilson Blvd
Arlington VA 22209

Get it?? Suffice it to say that you’ll be raising hell if you can’t get into to try one of their massive 10-oz burgers made from fresh ground, hand trimmed beef! Ray’s Hell Burger is a very unassuming spot in the heart of Arlington, with very little out front to make you stop and say “oh, a burger place!” But you’ve got to try it. Traditional tastes and more “out of the box” flavors on the menu will satisfy any appetite. Plus you can wash it all down with ice cold root beer!

One question for whomever put this list together. Have you ever been to Elevation Burger? They are certainly amongst the best in the area and certainly better than the highly overrated Five Guys.
