The Table
Winner The game of running backs for the New England Patriots can be explained by Bill Belichick's need to shroud everything in mystery, much like his team's injury reports.
Roulette is a game of chance. In it you guess where a ball spinning around the wheel will end up. Will it land on red? Black? Odd? Even? A specific number? A group of numbers? Any combination of these? You decide.
The Numbers
The New England Patriots currently have four running backs that they play mix-and match with: Shane Vereen; Jonas Grady; Brandon Bolden; newly acquired LeGarrette Blount. They even had Stevan Ridley in the mix until he tore his ACL. Any one of these healthy backs might find themselves starting one week and on the practice squad the next.
Winner A roulette wheel is made up of 38 numbers, including "0" and "00."
The House
Winner It cannot be proved, but many believe that Patriots coach Bill Belichick secretly hates fantasy football.
Winner A casino features the roulette table in the hopes that gamblers hit on lower payouts, and lose on higher ones.
The Odds
Winner The odds of hitting on a Patriots running back is probably a billion to one. Sure, there are only four running backs active for games, but the possibilities of the Patriots signing a free agent the day before a game and plugging him in as the featured back are virtually limitless.
The odds of hitting on a specific number is 38:1. The odds get better as you use broader bets with lower payouts.
The Results
Winner If you started Jonas Gray this week after his monster stats last week, chances are you have already dropped him onto the waiver wire in the hopes that someone wastes a waiver claim on him for Wednesday.
Winner While roulette can be an exciting party game, high rollers generally steer clear if they want to think they have a talent for gambling.

The Winner Is

Winner Patriots Running Back
4 out of 5

It was a tough battle with a couple ties, but the New England Patriots running backs ultimately ran the table by mixing and matching their way into fantasy football mediocrity.

This probably means that Bill Belichick will use LeGarrette Blount as a featured back for the remainder of the season just to prove me wrong.
